Fonzy's Tacos Reviews
Alfonso and Selena (the owners) were both very personable and very friendly. They pay attention to very small details in how they prepare the food and it was apparent with the burrito and the fish tacos my girlfriend ordered. Alfonso was very open with how he and Selena cooked our food and it was both very informative and very transparent. Service was a 10 and food was a 10. I will be back and I look forward to seeing Alfonso and Selena again. Thank you!
I think I have gone to heaven. We had the Mexican pizza with the whole farm. Such a yummy, amazing bite of Mexican love. You must eat Alfonzo and Celina's food. Don't forget 1227 Tap room with their fabulous select of beer and wine. Best evening in Phoenix.
Fonzy's Tacos in Phoenix is hands-down amazing! The customer service was incredible--so friendly and welcoming, they made us feel right at home. The staff truly go above and beyond to create a great experience. Oh, and the carne asada fries? Absolute perfection. They put there special touch on it here If you're in PHX, don't miss this spot! We WILL be back !!
Awesome! Wisconsinites in a road trip, we had to swing by when we saw a place called Fonzy's (spelling be damned). Cute food truck next to a bar. Best to both worlds. Owners are sweet, kind, wonderful people. The Tap House had a live band playing the Rolling Stones when we need. Nothing better for a Friday night.
Great service, super friendly owners. Steak and chicken tacos were delish and the spicy sauce on the shrimp was delicious! Right next to a cool little bar that had live music and sports on.
Best carne asada tacos I've had anywhere. Definitely a hidden gem tucked between 2 buildings. I can't wait to return.

Our favorite taco place, hands down! Delicious, fresh street tacos, burritos, nachos, quesadillas (and even steaks on Wednesdays)! There are vegetarian and gluten free options, too. Fonzy's also caters, too! We've had them cater events for us and all of our guests/friends have come to love them, too. I love that now they are next to the 1227 Taproom and we can sit down to eat Fonzy's while enjoying a delicious craft beer. I cannot begin to say how much I am grateful that Fonzy's is in our neighborhood. The owners, Fonzy and Selena are such amazing, big hearted people who really care about their craft and building community. Come for the food (and beer), stay for the people!
This is literally a hidden gem between two buildings!! We just visited for the first time and tried three amazing dishes: jalapeño poppers, steak tacos, and camarones a la cucaracha (shrimp), and they were absolutely delicious! The jalapeño poppers were perfectly crispy on the outside and packed with creamy, cheesy goodness inside. The heat from the jalapeños was just right--not too overpowering. That's a good thing since I don't do spicy. Paired with a dipping sauce, these poppers were the ideal appetizer to start the meal. Next up, the steak tacos were a standout. The steak was tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection, with just the right amount of char for that authentic, grilled flavor. The tacos were topped with pico and cabbage, all wrapped in soft, warm tortillas. Each bite was a mouthful of rich, savory flavor with the freshness of the toppings balancing it out. Just a little red sauce and you have the best tacos your mouth ever tasted!! Finally, the shrimp was cooked beautifully--juicy, flavorful, and seasoned to perfection! I was sold when he said they were cooked in butter! YUM!! Overall, this food truck delivered on all fronts, serving up some of the best Mexican dishes with a delicious twist. I can't forget to mention the kindness shown by Alfonso and his wife Selena! Highly recommend! Can't wait to return..we're ready now if we weren't so full! lol
